Experience has shown from our work over the years that there is a specific need for a new and different online Directory for Independent OTs (and associated services) which is easy to access by the public and by businesses and professionals. 

GFI receives enquiries about finding an Occupational Therapist from all over the UK (from individuals, charities and businesses) and wherever possible we put people in touch with local Independent practitioners. However we have found it difficult to source independent OTs  and those working outside the statutory sector through existing channels. 

GFI is an established and trusted organisation, a national community interest company with ethical values and a history of working in the community. Our website has good links from national websites and high search engine ratings.

The new searchable Directory will be an additional resource and marketing opportunity for independent OTs and also for other businesses. 
It will also list Equipment Display and Demonstration Centres, Adaptations services and retailers for assistive technology and Telecare specialists.

It has different entry options available including:-

• A free standard entry for OTs, Charities and Volunteers
• A Professional listing for individuals costing only £52.00 annually to enable you to showcase your services further and link to your website
• Listings for OT Companies and related businesses costing £65.00 annually

The free Volunteer option is for people who are interested in doing some voluntary work in their local community, working with charities or on National projects; this may lead to paid work. Students looking for potential work experience opportunities in the community can present information online as a supplement to their CV. 

Remember – if people cannot find you they cannot refer work on to you!
